Back in the Caribbean

The second screening of our current film “Into the Blue – Hitchhiking across the Atlantic” entertained an audience of 200 on 17 November 2011. In the meantime, we have returned to the Caribbean and have assumed ownership of our new boat.
Our film screening in Rheinstetten near Karlsruhe (southwest Germany) on 17 November 2011 was followed by a lively discussion with filmmaker Thorsten Böhnke. The audience showed great interest in our plans for the next legs of our sailing journey and in the film series “Into the Blue.”
We flew back to the Caribbean shortly after the screening and took over our new boat, the “Corinthian”, on 22 November 2011 in Grenada. Since then we have been busy preparing the boat for the Pacific and have taken her for our first test sails. With varying conditions and winds between 10 and 30 knots, the New Zealand-built boat performed well and impressed us with her sailing characteristics. On Saturday 3 December 2011 we set off on our first crossing – from Grenada to Tobago.
